Hi There!

My name is Lauri and I am fun! Or at least I like to think I am. I also like to think I am a stylish person, but every once in a while I tend to come out wearing something heinously wrong - like the Christmas outfit of 2001. Eek! I love to laugh and sometimes the silliest things can just set me off. My family rocks! I'm married to the most amazing boy EVER. I have a dog named Zoe and a bunny named Pocono. And I love love love being a photographer.

A preview and a contest!

First, the preview! Yesterday afternoon I shot TC and Liz’s engagement session and just had to post a quick preview because these two are just the sweetest ever.

Samara & Justin - Engagement

I love these two. They showed up for their engagement session bearing donuts and croissants, how cute is that? Much like every other day, I had just started my diet that day, but decided I already deserved to cheat. I’m pretty sure I ate 3 of the donuts on my drive home. One had blue frosting and sprinkles - how could I resist?

Samara and Justin are two of the warmest, most genuine people I have ever met. They came to the shoot just ready to have fun and be themselves, and I am so excited to be shooting their wedding next August! Here are a few of my favorites from our session.

Samara is a horticulturalist (how cool is that?), so I thought we totally had to get a couple shots by this painted garden door on the right.

I think this next image might be my most favorite from the shoot. I told them to “get excited!” about sitting beneath the sun and the moon, and this is what they did. haha! Cracks me up!

Samara is gorgeous.

Samara and Justin, you are the most fun ever! I can’t wait for your wedding!! :-)

Kristi & Dave - Engagement

When Kristi contacted me to shoot her engagement session, I knew her name sounded familiar. It was totally nagging at me but after a few emails back and forth we both realized we graduated Muhlenberg College together back in ‘03 - what a small world! As soon as we met up for the shoot we instantly recognized each other, and I met Dave who is truly a nice guy. I knew right away that we were going to have such a blast together exploring Lockridge Park where they got engaged.

After spending the afternoon with Kristi and Dave, it was just so clear that these two are completely made for each other. They are adorable! Here are just a few of my favs from our session.

About halfway through the shoot I asked Kristi and Dave how they were holding up and Dave said he was doing great! Apparently Kristi had promised him as much video game time as he wanted if he was a good sport, and I have to say he totally earned it!

We had the most amazing light for the shoot, and Kristi and Dave totally rocked the romance.

Anca Pe’elma - Preview!

My sister recently asked me to create a shoot for her for her bridal headpiece company, Anca Pe’elma. She is in the process of putting together a new website and wanted some fresh shots to show off her totally amazing work. So with the help of the gorgeous Ashley from Greer Lange Modeling Agency, I set out to create a shoot that I thought would really showcase her beautiful headpieces and look great on her new site! Here is just a preview of one image that caught my eye as I was going through them this evening. I can’t wait to work on the rest!

Happy Halloween!!

I love Halloween. Here is my niece Lucy in her Minnie Mouse costume - she’s so cute! Her favorite part is the ears.
